I got my new camera about a week ago, still working with it to see what I can do. Went to Red Rock Canyon not too far from my home today and took some shots... wanted to see which one people liked the most and maybe some comments/critique? :)

Gracias!

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.

1. very nice, maybe the sky could go even darker for more dramatic effects. gorgeous colors!

2. interesting lighting and perspective. sky blue colors looks a bit unnatural. contrasts could be pushed a litte more

3. Bad sky color, mountains look too purple hazed

4. interesing image, thought provoking. nice

5. white in clouds blown out, good composition with a leading line through the image.

6. cloud whites are a bit blown out, sky blue needs a bit of warm tones, decent photo.

7. nice colors but too busy for me.

My favourite of the bunch would have to be 1 followed by 4 then 2.

#1 - Very nice. Perhaps a little darker/burning in on foreground?
#2 - Nice perspective. Climber may be a little too low in the frame. A bit harsh.
#3 - You switched it! (Hope you didn't take offense!!) This one is a lot better - punchy sky too.
#4- Good "bastard" composition (LOL) & clear, a bit harsh on contrast in the sky.
#5 - Good composition. With a little work on the sky, this will be awesome!
#6 - Kinda' same as #5. Sky too bright/harsh. Send it to Heida. :)
#7 - Good perspective & having people gives a good sense of scale. Again, a bit too harsh & bright for me.

All of these are nice shots, just need a bit of tweaking in PS (my answer to everything huh?)

Thanks for sharing Tina.

Mucho Gracias ppls
I always have problems with adjusting my photos because my LCD monitor is whacko, they look so much different on here then when I see them on other monitors. Need to invest in a new monitor sometime soon before I pull my hair out :-O

I really like all of them alot, but if I had to pick one favorite it would be six. Such a wonderful photo. I really love 5 and 4 too.

Great pictures - #1 is my favorite. The saturation seems to be just a tad too high in several of these (esp. in the blue sky or the red rocks), but that could be me right now (on a school monitor).

Left a comment on #1

The colors seem a bit much, they remind me of old slides from the 50's.
