Can someone in Canada please help me with this? My mother in law is visiting someone in Canada right now, and I want to send her some $ to buy me a 20D because pricess in US and Canada are half the pricess I have here. She doesn't know anything about cameras and photography so I need to send her directly to an adress where she can find it at best price. I tried googleing something but it is preety hard for me to find a site that is the site of a shop and to also figure out if that shop is near where she is. She is in Hamilton Ontario, from what I know that is also verry close to Toronto. Can someone tell me a place where she can buy a 20D at best price in that area? Ordering from the internet is out of discussion, so it has to be a shop. Also can you please tell me the equivalent price in US$ because that's what I'm going to send her and also it's easier for me to understand.

Thank you verry much.

Toronto has a couple of camera stores that you can check (also on the web so you can check prices).

Henry's and Vistek

$1400 US (ish) at Vistek, so I'm sure Henry's would match that. I've bought from Vistek before and been happy.

they're on Queen St in Toronto

Little map here

Thanks guys, Vistek looks a bit cheaper, I think I'll direct her there, also thanks for the map that will be helpful I'm sure. Since you guys are from that area how far is Toronto from Hamilton? If it's too far maybe I'll send her to that Henry's.

I just looked online and both Henrys and Vistek have the 20D for 1799 CDN.

Toronto is about 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Hamilton. Not too difficult unless she doesn't like to drive the freeway traffic.

Too bad she's not close to London, Ontario. That's where //www.cameracanada.com is based. They have some of the best prices in Canada.

Pretty close in price. Hamilton is between Toronto and London maybe even half way so Camera Canada may be an option.

There is a Henry's Camera shop in Meadowlands Plaza in Hamilton.
Bell Arte on Ottawa St. N. (very reputable...they do a lot of work with the local Police Identification section)
Bell Arte supplies the police with their camera's. Hope this thread isn't too late...heck I could have enquired for her.
(Born and raised in Hamilton and work there!)

I buy all my stuff from Henry's, and have been very pleased. The price is always the lowest, the stock is good, and if there are any issues they go the extra mile to make you happy. I generally use mail order since I'm on an island on the east coast. They also ship to the US, and sell in USD.

I am from London Ontario, If I can help - let me know. I have always bought my stuff from Carman Cameras - but the ebay side of it from Stratford Ontario. Always have great deals and ship same day - so you don't have to go pick it up - If you need their info I can dig it up - or you can look them up at www.411canada.ca - but make sure if you call you ask for the person who deals on ebay - and get his number if it's not the right Carmans. Also you can check this guy out on Ebay: prodigital2000

Just let me know if you need anything from London - PM me

Hi, I am in Hong Kong and have interest to buy Olympus C8080 from henrys.com
Anyone has comment for this ? I know they accept for international order, but I found there are some buyers received a faulty camera and need to send it back to repair.

They usually offer exceptional service. I have dealt with them many times for web-based orders (Ebay and otherwise) and an very pleased with their service. Very professional.

I have found the opposite in the local Henry's store in London, Ontario. Sometimes I wish that sales staff worked on commission so that they had a bit of an interest in helping the customer...but I imagine they're much easier to deal with on the web.

Mind you, they did allow me to return my B+W circular polarizer after my trip to Europe as I realized that I didn't use it enough to warrant it's purchase.
