This year is the 100th anniversary of the city of Las Vegas, NV. If you want some examples of colorful yet subtle colorization of b&w photos from early Las Vegas visit //www.earlyvegas.com. We could learn a lot from them and I'm sure we could improve our photos by applying some of their techniques. A particular favorite of mine is the purple shadows cast by some of the buildings.
Hey, how about a challenge for the best imitation of some of their effects?
P.S. there is some nudity in a few of the pictures. |

Too bad the site has exceeded their bandwidth. I can't look at any of the images.

subtle?
I disagree...neat effect, but those colours make Andy Warhol's work seem subdued.
