| I usually trust stuff from the BBC... But that... What kind of URL is that anyways... //65.127.124.62/south_asia/4483241.stm.htm ? When I'll see www.bbc.uk/whatever... I might give it some serious consideration... Until then, looks like some weird hype to promote a new zombie movie... It's still a cool story. |

| Hmmmmm I clicked on another link on the website, and it took me to the bbc homepage, but when I tried to go back to the story, I couldn't find it ..... anywhere.... |

Of course, the troops pictured would be able to respond very quickly to calls from Cambodia from their post in Anjar, Lebanon. Not only that, but would a real BBC site have an erroneous apostrophe? ... the virus is able to restart the heart of it's victim... (hehe) |

Isn't "it's" a possesive phrase, therefore deserving an apostrophe?

The IP address resolves to baserape.com. It's not related to the BBC.

That story got my heart started this morning. (Pun intended)
I couldn't get a goods nights sleep for almost three days after I had seen the most recent "Dawn of the Dead" director's cut DVD. I got this fear of Zombies thing going on pretty heavily. |

It's really a very clever parody. I bet they used the page scource from a real story and modofied the text/pictures. That would explain the similarities and the links working.

Man, I used to really struggle with this one for years :-) Then someone pointed out to me that you don't apostrphise 'his' or 'hers', and I got it sorted.

Poor grammar - not generally BBC style:
The culprit [s] was [were] discovered to be mosquitoes native to that region carrying a new strain of Malaria which thus far has a 100 percent mortality rating killing victims in fewer than 2 days [one day?!].
After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of it’s [its] victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believe to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.” [sentence too long]
Cambodian officials say [state]that the outbreak has been contained and the public has no need to worry.
General Ary Serey had this to say, "We have obtained samples of this new virus and plan to learn how it starts the heart and other major organs of the deceased. We intend to use this to increase the quality of life for all."
US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice [why an American?] opposed the plan saying that the Cambodian government holds a great biological weapon and should destroy it immediately. Cambodian officials have yet to comment.
A United Nations team will be dispatched to Cambodia to confirm the safety of biological research in Cambodia.
