Hey guys.....I did a stupid thing.....I posted an image a while back that I want to enter in the Free Study.....I've since taken it out of my portfolio, but I'm sure a few people would recoginze it.

It is without question the best image I've taken this month (I was so excited about it I completely forgot about the free study when I posted it.)

Would it be innapropriate for me to enter it in the challenge now that it's been "leaked?" (Like I said....it's gone now.)

Thanks in advance.

I say go ahead and use it. If it's your best, it should be entered.

I say go for it, I doubt enough people saw it to really make that much of a difference, if you had posted it in the forums that would be a different story.

If you linked to it or have other reason to think a *lot* of folks would have seen it, you risk taking a hit in the voting. If you feel that only a few would have seen it, then you need to weigh the risk against the difference between this and your next-best choice.
there is no hard and fast rule that once something is posted to your portfolio that it cannot be entered.

Only 67 people looked at the post, and 2 had commented on the photo. I say you're probably safe to submit it without tainting the voting pool.

Good luck!

Oooh, that's not a good sign, already someone knows which one (I don't). Sixty-seven is a lot, IMO. That's potentially 20% of the voting pool. Risk assessment time.

Thank you all so much.

I really don't have anything else I feel good enough about to submit, so it would've been this or nothing.

Ok.....if any SC can delete that other thread, that would be rad.

67 views....not necessarily 67 uniques, though.

I'm going to forge ahead an hopefully the photo will stand on its own merits.

We shall see.
