bump

Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas for improvements?

I like both shots but I like the first one the best, it is really well done. The light and compostion are very pleasing. The second on I am not sure if you did some burning or dodging to the newspaper boxes but they have a ring of lightness around them that does not work for me. I like the compostion but the boxes seem a bit off. Still both very nice shots.

I like them both, but would pick the second one. The first one is nice and I love the depth of the toning (can you tell me how you did that?) Only thing I would do different, and again this is just my opinion is get rid of the airplane trails in the sky, just something small I noticed. On the second one, I really like the angle (I tend to like sideways things :) and how it's shot at almost street level. The line in the sidewalk draws my eye into the shot. Good job!

i'm not so sure about the B&W. after looking at 200 B&W buildings my eyes are going fuzzy. they are very well done.
i want to know what you think of the shodow in front.

First one:
The perspective supports it's darker overtone. I would crop out the distracting jet contrails and wires from this one to make it complete.

Second one:
Again, nice perspective but the composition needs something to fill the uninteresting foreground. The bright starkness of the background gives it the feeling of a harsh, uncaring metropolis. All you need is a homeless person asleep leaning against the newspaper stands and it would be perfect. It would give the title more meaning.

It's not the same building unless they shot that show in Pittsburgh's south side off E. Carson street.

Thanks stdavidson.
