one comment. That's to be expected I guess... I notice the worse my pictures do, the less comments I get. I suppose everyone is adhering to what mother always said?.....

If you've got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.

It says 15 users users commented on your shot.....?

i have the opposite situation. My photo got more comments this week then ever and it did the worse out of all my photos ever. I think if there is something noticably wrong with the photo, it is easier to comment on. For example, mine was really pixeled and I got like 40 people telling me that. LOL. Also, if there is something noticably good about a photo, it is also easier to comment on. The photos that don't really have anything TOO exciting, or TOO terribly wrong are the hardest to comment on, so maybe people just avoid trying. Who knows.

I agree. Last week I had my largest number of commenters and my best score.

This week ... oy vey! I thought mine was a pretty decent effort (and the 4 comments so far all agree, each finding something favourable to mention) but the score is hanging around the 4.8s!!

I have the reverse: my score is in the dumps, but I am getting loads of comments. the commenting and scoring combination is very funny together since a good comment might just mean a mediocre score. I like that it is anonymous (of both the person giving the score and the person themselves) until after the voting is over.

Comments can be helpful if you have overlooked something you did. On the other hand if you knew what you did before hand, whether deliberate or not they can sound repetitious. How would anyone know for there is no way to tell him or her? Now for Mom she was always trying to protect you. I think it is important that you don't attack or ridicule a person and be sincere in your trying to help.

i think that this is the single most aggravating thing about watching the votes roll in --- the lack of correlation/support between the comments and the score --- you eat up the praise, and then scratch your head as the score descends

I had to fight real hard not to give this week's shot a title that went something like this "Tell me what I did wrong! I don't care, cause this is my first setup and I LIKE it." I broke a rule (or two) and already it's been pointed out. I tried it the other way and it was boooorrrring.

Last week I only had 7 comments. and a 4.5 score. proves your hyposis, Heather.
