My candid sumbition Extroverted No one seemed to notice the lipstick on the grooms lips. Also I'd like to say that I was pretty dissapointed with the candid photo voting. Outtakes

Nope, didn't notice it as lipstick. Thought maybe something weird was going on with the color there. (My camera does weird things with the color red). Didn't mark down score for it, promise. :-)

I noticed it, however, the same color seems to be on the photographer's right cheek as well, so I thought the same thing about something freaking out with the color too. I gave the photo high marks, so it didn't seem to affect me any. It is a really nice photo. Sorry I didn't get the chance to comment this week. I was really really sick, and then had to go out of town for the weekend. Good luck in the new challenge.

I did not really notice the color on the lips but I gave you very high marks and I thought you had one of the better shots this week. I too was a little dissapointed that you didn't score better. I thought the shot told a story and I guess that is something that I look for in a photo. I really liked your CandidBW2 on your outtakes as well.

I think alot of people vote pictures down if they cannot imagine hanging your picture on their wall, this would apply to nearly all the candid shots which is why the scoring was low. I feel it was a poor challange, producing very boring shots.

You did better than me and I wasn't disappointed. What was wrong with your photo was the quality. Did you take this from a far or was it a close up? If you took it from far away then moved in and cropped it you lost pixels. If you took in close up it might be your camera or the way you shot it?

Taylor,

I didn't notice the lipstick (sorry), but I did like your photo and thought that it was humorous (because of the gestures) and technically, in my opinion, good. Don't feel bad or disappointed. You got over an average score of '5', and that isn't so bad, considering all submissions. Rememeber, this is supposed to be fun. Who knows what people are thinking when they are voting? There are a lot of mitigating factors, so don't take it so to heart. I think it was a very good submission. I am not sure why you are stressing the lipstick though. Its (the lipstick's) importance has blown 'over my head' for some reason. Their gestures and expressions prove that it is indeed a candid shot, and a good one at that!
