| I have a standard tripod and a Sony F707. Does anyone know of a way to make a good panaramic with what I have? I don't have access to QTVR or it's special tripod so thats out of the question for now. Ok guys thanks in advance for any help you can give me. |

You could take a few pictures, that overlap, and then stich them together using a 360 panaramic program. Use the tripod and just rotate it horizontally, taking picutres every 20 to 30 degrees, then stich them together. You can also buy the wide angle lens for the F707 the sony makes.

The Panorama Factory by Smoky City Design is an excellent tool to use once you've taken multiple images. It's done an excellent job on most of my attempts.

There are many good stitch programs some are very cheap yet effective.
When you take your sequence try to overlap on an object that will be in succesive frames so the stitch software can use thwm a s a reference. |

Take light meter readings in a 360 degree before shooting and pick one that works for the whole scene. Make sure NOT to use automatic, as the exposure will change for each shot, and the difference can sometimes be very visible in the final stitched picture.
Another question RE: this. I have a stitcher that came with my camera, but don't know a good program to use to make an interactive panoram that can be viewed and interacted with inside in a browser. Any good programs people have used for this part?? |

PanaVue ImageAssembler is another great image stitching packages, that will let you do vertical or horizontal panoramas, as well as mosaics (multi row/column stitches). It also has handy tools for calculating camera tilt and focal depth to improve help your results.
