I got a comment on my photo on the traintracks,
Saying it had no place in this challenge.
Someone unnamed gave me a "0"
Just because they could not relate.
Just because you can`t relate doesn`t mean it is
a bad photo.
There is no child in this photo, just a child at heart,
if you take a closer look you will realize that.
No bad feelings.
Before you comment, realize what the picture is about.
I don`t relate to most of the photos,
but they are usually good phtots.

First of all...you can't get a 0. The person is pulling your chain. The worst they can give you is a 1. Also, if only one person is commenting that way on the photo, ignore it. If you have 10 comments saying the same thing, then maybe I'd take it to heart. Another thing (which I unintentionally have done as well) it's kind of "taboo" to defend your photo while voting is still going on. Especially if you reveal which photo is yours. Some people look down on that and will mark your photo down for doing so. (I've already commented and voted that one, so it doesn't affect me at all, but it may affect some peoples vote).
You can edit your post to remove the part saying which photo was yours. If you don't, a moderator might do it for you.
Wait until after voting is over, see who made the comment, consider the source. The bad comments like that are usually from people who are just trying to stir up trouble.
Don't give up on the rest of us because of one bad seed. Personally, I think you did a great job. Keep up the good work and good luck in the challenge.

Must have been someone with "0" imagination. !!

It's not a bad photo. I gave you a 6. I grew up not far from the tracks and could watch the train go by at least twice a day and could hear it whistle during the night. It was exciting and wonderful in the daytime and comforting at night.

Shake it off and keep shooting!

Whoa!! Let's back up here a minute, please. It seems I'm the culprit that supposedly gave this "O". But in reality, those who know my scoring method know that I score in different criteria, such as:

Composition: Subject Placement, Cropping, Background ___
Technical: Focus, Exposure, Lighting, Processing ___
Challenge: Does your entry meet it? ___
Appeal: Is it Interesting, Motivating, Etc.? ___
Total Averaged Rating ___ Autool

In this case, the averaged rating was a 5 !

The subject looked like a "boy" to me, and IMHO, "without children" meant just that. AND, I don't believe the picture should have been revealed and discussed, but when comments like "Wait until after voting is over, see who made the comment, consider the source. The bad comments like that are usually from people who are just trying to stir up trouble. Don't give up on the rest of us because of one bad seed."
or "Must have been someone with "0" imagination. !!" , then I feel I must defend myself.

Hey autool!! You have to realize that the person didn't clarify exactly what happened!! It IS often people who give shitty comments are people trying to stir up trouble. HOWEVER, this is NOT the case with you. We only went by what the first guy said. If someone says they got a 0...c'mon, what are we supposed to think? I KNOW your scoring, and I know why you gave a "0". You have different aspects that you rate on and then make the average. THAT is totally understandable and SHOULD have been clarified by the guy that originally complained about it. Sorry autool...not directed at you AT ALL! The situation has been clarified and personally...I'd be HAPPY with the average 5 rating.
(however, the guy in the photo has WAY too hairy of arms to be a "kid" LOL!!!)
No offence to you autool...I love your comments. Just bad wording on the original post. Sorry!

Heather,

My little system does tend to get me in trouble once in a while. I'm not makin' any more comments on the picture in question, but my opinion stays the same.
I appreciate all of your comment work and wish that I could express myself as well as you do. That is primarily why I developed my obscure rating system. I guess I am a man of few words.
You're OK in my book.
