Hoorn Harbour

It isn't very busy with boats at the moment. The sailing season hasn't started yet and also no clippers ore any boats of the 'brown fleet'. This is one from this weekend, should be something better in my archive but have no time to look now.

I look forward to Sail Amsterdam this year.

Thanks.
No filter, just a channel mix to monochrome with +100% red +100% green and -100% blue. This isn't perfect, some gradations of tones appear in the sky and such, but when you do it on a 6mp file and resample it to 1800 or 640 wide this disappears.

The seas where calm and all seemed well until the huge wave came in.

OK more boats...what do you think of this?

And this one?

Both taken in the harbour close by where I live.

Wow - some very nice boat photos!

These are of my boat, the Hispaniola, which I was on and off building for 4 calendar years (about 6 or 7 months of actual work). Not great photos in and of themselves, but the first one is launching day - no other feeling compares to the feeling you get by being propelled across the water in a boat you have built yourself, and this photo reminds me of that great time:

This one is of my friend Mike at the helm. My camera settings were all messed up - exposure time was long and aperture small - and yet I like the effect. It reminds me of the dreamy bliss that I get when out on the water on a slow day:

This is one of my bridges outtakes, it would have scored better but I really like the feel of the other one. BTW its nothing like this one.
