My Entry:

I guess I should be happy with a 56th place with my shot.. but I was honestly expecting a *little* more.. perhaps at least a 6.0 or above. The only thing I can think of that put me down are these:
1. Not the best lighting. Yes, it's a little shadowy. I didn't purchase my flash until after I had this shot, and no matter how much I reshot.. this was the one I liked best.

2. Babies. DPC hates babies. lol

3. A lack of *great* sharpness. Again, due to lighting conditions and the nature of my JPG-compressed-to-hell-inside-the-camera Fuji.

Anyway, 56th is ok. *I* love this shot, a lot, and here's some outtakes I also found were pretty good.

One thing that hits me while looking at this (I didn't vote) is that the crop feels a little awkward. She's looking up which leads the eye up but then bam, the photo ends. It's almost like she's tilted her head to fit in the box of the picture.

Still, a cute set of photos. And I liked the title. :)

hehe. Yah, my hope was that people would think she/he was yelling out in indignation over being dressed in pink as a "boy".

Thanks for responding!

I thought this photo was excellent :) And I thought she was a convincing boy protesting the pink, very imaginative and it should've scored higher in my opinion. You're right though, I think, for the most part, DPC doesn't care for kiddos. *shrugs* I'll continue to use my little one as the only model I have available though :)

These are just plain wonderful!!!!!! I don't know about DPC hating babies, it seem like kids do well here. I just think they are all jealous of this cutie and this man who captures her SO beautifully and spontaneously. Where were you when my daughter was a baby??????

LOL.
Thanks Kylie :) The second two have hugely obvious faults with them.. (wrinkled backgrounds, shadows, blah blah blah.. ) But I had so much fun shooting her for this challenge :)

the last one would have been excellent with the wrinkles in the backdrop removed, would have scored a lot higher I think.. :o)

Yah, I really liked a lot of the shots I took with her standing up that way. Problem was, she had to hold on to the background to stay standing.. and the only shot that turned out without *massive* wrinkling.. was my challenge entry.
