I went out to get shots of bridges last week and thought I would share this one now. I am not using this bridge in the challenge. This bridge is over 100 years old. I have lived next to this town for about 7 years now and this is the first time I went to see this bridge. Cars are not allowed across it anymore. I didn't use it because I can't spot edit out the power lines. Anyone willing to take these and Photoshop them I would love to see them. And learn how you edited them.

These are nice shots for sure, but I'm usually not to found of people putting in out takes until the challenge voting has begun..just my thoughts.

They aren't outtakes of the challenge shot; they're a bridge he shot and did not enter. No harm, no foul?

Not really outtakes. I will not use any of this bridge. I just thought it was good history to share.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, and thanks for sharing.

James, I had a quick little play with my favorite. That very sad sky would need much longer to fix - I'm not exactly quick at this sort of stuff yet.

Very nice Beetle. If I new how to fix the sky I would. Thanks for taking the time.

I just fully read the picture of the sign I took for this bridge and thought I would add this photo.

Check out the wooden pegs. Man bridge was pretty sturdy when I walked across it. It is pretty amazing to see what they were able to do hundreds of years ago without all the modern tools. Sorry about the bad photo.

Here's one that I considered entering. In this version, I used the PS brush filter, however, and I would have to rework it without that before it would be legal under basic editing rules. I showed it to several family members, and to a person they chose my other shot over this. I kind of liked it though. Opinions solicited.

edit: Removed image since the challenge hasn't started yet. Will repost afterwards... sorry 'bout that folks.

Why not. All the challenges are fun.

Even though these are not outtakes, previous threads have suggested that it is still better to not post until the challeng has closed. The issue is others may have planned to post the very image you did and based on your comments or others, either decide to not enter or others may vote based on comments on the "outtake". I understand this opinion is not shared be everyone, but I cen see the basis for waiting to post what "might have been".

Why do people jump me for putting some photos of a bridge up and asking for some photoshop help and sharing a little history. RELAX

I had trouble deciding which of mine to enter..I photographed 3 different bridges, just wondered how would this one have done?

Looks good Sierra. I don't think this one would have done good in the challenge because you don't show much of the bridge. It is one worth keeping though. I shot a totally different bridge in my submission. I couldn't edit out the power lines in the first one I took here so I decided not to enter it. I figured they would count off for the power lines

Thanks. the one I actually entered is barely hangin on to a 4... maybe one day I will see a 5 again... I just keep trying

I would've entered this, but there were a couple dust spots that I could'nt get rid of in Basic rules that I knew I'd be hammered for.

I didn't enter any at all but I had this but wasn't too sure about it

i didn't have an entry, but if i had, i would have hoped for something like this...

this was shot on film a couple years ago.

True to my word:

Shooting this bridge became a passion that morning.
As submitted:

Alternates:

Plus a different view:

This one had so many power lines and spent forever cloning - no decent way to get the shot without tresspassing (not an alternate though):

Picking one was as painful as waiting for this to end. Isn't it over yet?

Now over, and looks like I made the right choice after changing my mind a few dozen times - LOL
