Back in December I lost Jet. She was a wonderful dog and many of you helped with your kind words.

Better days are here now with the addition of Abby. She's a two year old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd. We got her through the Australian Shepard rescue group as we did Jet.

Do consider rescue if you're thinking of getting a dog.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. But congrats on the new addition. We lost our German Shepard almost 3 years ago and it still hurts but he had a litter of puppies with one of our other dogs and we kept one in memory.

Good for you my friend. Nice to see that you have opened up your heart and home to another wonderful looking dog. I wish you the very best. I remember your initial post and the sorrow I felt for you, as I had also experienced the loss of my dog Bedauregard, an astoundingly good looking and very protective Bouvier de Flandres.

Your dog looks adorable, and I wish you joyous moments together.

Take care...

This is a beautiful looking dog, I wish more people thought the way you do, bless you for giving a dog from a rescue group a home. Everyone thinking of getting a pet should go first to the shelters....kittens and puppies are cute but they grow up fast and many people don't know how to take it from there :(

Rudyard Kipling told us "beware, don't give your heart to a dog to tear" in his poem, but the years of love and joy they give us make it worthwhile.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your little mate Jet and I hope Abby brings you much happiness and helps to ease the pain a little.
