I hate waiting! Ahhh, I think the clock has stopped. Noooo.
I took some pencil pictues an hour before time was up last week and was left with 5 minutes to choose between 2 pictures. My husband told me to submit one and I went with the other. The next morning I regretted it and am curious for feedback. I want the clock to switch over so I can post the outake for comments. Is there anyone else out there waiting to submit their outakes?

I think there are about 3000 people waiting. Most of them will be over it in about 10 minutes. and then they will be ranting, and then they will be discussing, and then waiting for their average to be updated for about a week, and then they will be waiting again.

Hi Remie... thanks for posting this photo... This confirms that my comment on your red/white pencils photo is correct! I like the added contrast that the shadow on the left provides :) This outtake, however, is excellent also... I would have scored it equally well... great work :)

Frank, I actually prefer the black and white version of your photo... I think the contrast is quite nice :)

Remie...you continue to amaze me. I don't think I have rated anything of yours under an 8. I gave the pencil photo a 10 but the black and white would have gotten a 10 from me as well.

I actually see this black and white as about an 8 foot x 5 foot photo on a wall in a gallery. I just had a vision of you standing next to this thing on a wall.

Have you access to quality enough photography gear to realize this idea in a larger format?

I have not seen a photo like this. Is this an original idea? If so I would be very serious when I say you need to pursue this to a greater level...talk to a studio. If you were in the states on the east coast I could put you in touch with the advertising studio my company uses..They have large format stuff to make gallery prints.

Anyways...once again..excellent work.

I have a lone pencil outake I'd like to get some feedback on, please.

Initial response to the photo has been that I went with the right image. Would just like to get a few more opinions.

Remie, this is great as well. But honestly, I like the red and white a little bit better. To me it enhances the pencils in red and white.

Frank, This works much better in black and white, imo. Also, have you tried adding a little extra contrast?

I like the one summited much better...

K, here are a couple I would have liked to submit -- but since I left the USB cable at work and didn't really have the time to get it... had to leave these images on the camera.

I'm not looking for critiques on these or anything, just sharing.

Pure1 has had some very minor (but still illegal) PS tweaks done to it -- they really don't change the basic image much, but do clean it up a bit.

Pure2 is mostly straight from the camera with just a bit of levels tweaking and some sharpening.

Like Pure 1 a LOT better.

:)

Pure 1 is my personal favorite as well. I really like the DOF in that image.
