I was just wondering what everyones favourite style of photography is. For example are you always drawn to macro, B & W, floral, etc.. Is there something that always grabs your eye?
I am just keen to see what other people faves are. Mine I would say are B&W, anything innovative, texture and emotion.
Cant wait to hear your replies

I'm fairly partial to erotic. When that isn't available I like photos of puppies, flowers, and babies. Preferably photos of puppies licking babies in a field of flowers. Yellow flowers mostly but I'll take white if you don't have yellow.

If you accidentally delete one of the brackets it won't work. You could also just use the quote button and delete parts you don't want included in the quote.

I am most drawn to emotional photos, desats with strong tones, and portraits/candids but not 'snapshots.'

My favourites are landscapes, but I am getting more interested in b/w.
Maybe when I can get a studio set up I will lean more towards some indoor shots, I have just bought a 550ex flash but haven't had time to try it yet.

I like normal, recognizable subjects, usually in color (black and white is often overused in my opinion).

It is important to look at context, too, i.e. what are you trying to achieve with a photo, who is your audience?

Different situations call for different types of photography.

This includes the highly "artistic" styles - they certainly have a place, but I do differentiate between photography and other art forms.

I have a limited number of models - which are the insects in my garden. And also the plants , flowers etc.
Therefore this limits me to macro - most of the time.

Can i watch? I prefer babies licking puppies while urinating on flowers, but then i am distrubed.

I have no preference / style / clue about anything. As long as my 4 year old can bring me beer and I don't fall out of my chair i can keep typing...

I think you are reffering to the quote function. Click the quote button in the ost you want to... quote. Quote, quote, quote, quote...

To answer your question, I like surealism, preferably black and white. I think that to create an image wich you would not see in real life... That's art. You can have the technical aspect of photography down and master it, but if you use it to copy real life... It's not always bad photography, but artistically speaking... It doesn't push a lot of bounderies.

I don't have a favorite. I simply just look at the photo type to see if it relays any kind of meaning or a message that I can relate to. I has to look like they put SOME effort into the shot.

I like an abstract, “exotic”, or imaginative art work (digitally or traditionally manipulated photos), something you don’t see often or everywhere, a unique emotional vision of the surrounding you world. Something which I think is not really popular on DPC. Because of this my submissions, are not always my favourite pictures. It is funny for me that my highest scored photos are usually pretty boring (in my opinion). But I am here to learn not to complain, and I know . . . this is a photography challenge not an art exhibition.

My photography? Or what do I like to look at.

My photography: I get the most satifaction doing child portraiture because I guess that is what I do best. My work is very eclectic in spite of that.

OPs photograhy: Anything, B/W, color, duo-tones, doesn't matter - anything that stirs the emotion - makes me feel something, remember something, hell, even smell something.

Oh, and neked chics!

I am easily moved by grand landscapes/seascapes, by extremely dteailed macrophotography that shows me things I have never seen/noticed before, and by "surreal" images that make visual connections that had never occurred to me.

I love portraits (self and traditional) and wildlife.

I sure don't have a style that I photograph in particular (yet) but I really enjoy looking at black and white (or similar mono/duotoned) street candids. I wish that those kinds of shots scored better with the DPC crowd. I love grain, I love shadows, and I love the whole gritty nature of urban shots. I also love to view emotive portraiture and well-captured architectural shots. It's been fun for me to vote on the architecture challenge. :o)
