I like what I see. I see two tens aready and I didn't give even one in the last chalenge. I also see many of the out of focus snapshots that I see in almost every other chalenge. And maybe 2 to DQ. One I know for sure.

Just remember...You should then vote on the photo as if the rule was not broken, and leave the determination up to the Site Council. |

I just didn't vote on either. If they don't DQ by the end I will give 1 a good score and the other looks tacky anyway.

After looking at the site a little while this is my first challange I've entered. I thought 5+ would be good for a first atempt - and so far

Probably the best thing not to vote - that's what i do as one can't be neutral with doubts of it's validity. Request they be checked though.
Also, you can never be sure! Some people are very clever at getting round the rules.

Really quite disappointed with my results so far - hovering around 4.5, yet IMO it's quite a strong pic. Only my second challenge entry so far, so yet to get a feel for what scores the votes.
Just hoping that mine is not one of those under suspicion... contrast and brightness adjustments are allowed under basic editing aren't they?

I erred on the side of caution and removed my entry because it was similar to my Bokeh entry, which is doing extremely well - I didn't want to jinx it. Plus I thought people would think I was copying someone elses work and kill it for being unoriginal. Actually, I had entered it in the Bokeh challenge first. I'm trying to be more descerning in 2005.

Was watching as the challenge kicked off last night at midnight because I had hopes of a 6+ score. My first vote received: 4. Uh oh. But then the 2nd vote received: 10. Hmm, maybe... But the overnight average shows my entry struggling to hold onto 5. Disappointed, but hey that's the whole point of the site.

Same here!! 59 votes and barely standing on 5.001
I totally agree with you. The list of "forbidden" subjects is growing quickly, soon we won't be able to shoot anything appealing to the demanding tastes in DPC!! |

4.8! lucky you. I'm heading for a personal low with 4.3 and no comments either.
And I thougth I had a killer image. Well, obviously, but not in the way I had hoped.

im doing real bad with my entry 4.3+
i thought it was pretty clever and creative. maybe thats why i'm getting comments but low votes.
anyway, i see now that i have to go watch clockwork orange...
