This is just wrong:

//www.photographyblog.com/index.php/weblog/comments/new_york_city_transit_authority_board_to_ban_photography/

Very similiar to the WalMart thread a few down. Anyone in New York willing to get arrested for a good cause? :)

If I were a terrorist really bent on taking photographs on the subway, I'd just carry a concealed camera.

This sort of ban is so utterly far fetched you just have to wonder what's next

edit: No drawing or memorizing on buses and subways in 2008

I'd wait a few years before trying this.

New York Times Article from yesterday.

Try this instead: Google News Search

I guess you can get there when referring from Google News, but not a straight link.

I already have been detained a number of times.

Me and a large group of photographers have been protesting this ban for some time now.

Just wait... sooner or later, you won't be allowed to take pictures anywhere.
