I always seem to start around the same place. I wonder how many ribbon winners start with low votes.

By the looks of things I'll be towards the bottom.

The only thing that's curious is that most of the entries could have easily been in last year's tacky challenge and vice-versa...

After 10 votes I'm sitting at 4.2, my lowest ever! I've entered 18 challenges and my experience has been that the tone is set in the first 20-25 votes. I've gotten a bump later but not more than a few tenths. Early votes can be off though (I hope that is the case now). Good luck.

I here you. That is why I'm a little suprised by my vote up to know. There are, however, a few great shots in there.

speak of the devil! lol, hopefully this doesnt stay like this but this would be my lowest score ever. In retrospect I guess my challenge entry can be seen as off-topic or tacky rather than classy. But I like it, and thats what counts!
And to me its classy

I have to agree. There are a lot of decent shots of things that I wouldn't consider very classy. Everyone's tastes are different. It will be interesting to see where the votes fall.

I agree. Just goes to show ya that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
If this year was tacky though...there is a trailer neae me with bad lights a blow up grinch.... or two houses with pick up trucks in the front yeard decorated with lights (the one you'd need a video for - the hubcaps alternately blink in different colors). Last year my neighbor's son did up his farm tractor in lights in the yard.

Perhaps I had no entry cause I have no classy holiday decorations in my 'hood!

You want to see tacky? Here is tacky and I promise you there is a house in there [somewhere]!

Not my best, but another image that I am relatively happy with that isn't really interesting to the masses. New Year's Resolution: pick up the game and focus on score for the first quarter.

That's interesting. I just finished voting and thought for the most part that the images were subpar. A lot of OOF and poorly cropped images - not to mention what I would call tacky.

i was thinking of a picture of a golden bullit approaching a golden x-mas-tree ornament and capture the shot just b4 the clash
i ll save that one for next year, might need some more practice on that one
instead i ended up between a mass of kitch/classy shots
