Just curious...

I just received 2 votes today in the last 2 hours and both were a 1s. If its a one fine, which I don't think it is, might not be the greates shot but that's not my concern at all... Anyways, one of them left a comment which I tried to check and the following was stated on users profile when I tried to check.

User Profile - This Account Has Been Cancelled
Sorry, this account is no longer active.
User camera also was a Nikon Coolpix 3200.

Intersting.
Any info why this account is no longer active?

EDIT: Spelling

It was a duplicate account created by somebody who was suspended.

That thought crossed my mind too.

It's too bad that other people have to suffer because on one person! What can you do...

Not like it's going to help my score ;-) But when these things happen are the votes re-adjusted, probably would be a lot of work but it looks like it wasn't just me. Just curious.

thatcloudthere - good question ... cameras cetainly match and the attitude !?!?

Oh well.

Yeah, the votes are re-adjusted...they just delete the votes from the offender.

His votes will not be counted.

Yeah, he got me too. Do we need to notify someone or just ignore it and let it go away when the Admin get to it?

NEVERMIND - By the time I hit 'refresh' it was gone. Great!

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to help my Yellow score ;)

Same here. The comment went away, but the score stuck (unless by some unlikely coincidence someone simultaneously gave me a 1). Thanks for staying on top of this guys!

EDIT- I think this guy is still at it. My score has been fairly steady for days, but it's taken a big hit in the past couple of hours.

Yep. I just dropped a substantial amount too, and had a comment which doesn't show up. Think he'd finally feel better if the voting scale had negative numbers? ;)

i can see it now...as fast as they can close his account, he hops on his bike and peddles over to another public library branch, waits his turn for the free internet access, and set ups a new account, trolling until caught...

I just got a similar comment but not from the person originally listed. Kinda of sad that people resort to such childish pleasures.

Newbie here.... what is this refresh button people are talking about, and should we be able to see how people are voting before the challenge is over??

I think he's at it again

comment from user opaljag at 12:37

"lousy theme and subject matter, poor composition and horrible technique"

Can you imagine having so much time and so little to do that you have to try to hurt innocent people with this? This guy needs counseling or medication or both!

Wait a minute...did you get here on a bicycle from a public library?

Just kidding! When you enter a challenge as a member, you can see your current challenge score by hitting an "update" button on your homepage.

Paid members get an "Update Scores" link which allows them to do that at any time. It DOES NOT come with insurance covering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

If you refresh the score and there's been one more vote cast, it's pretty easy to calculate what it was -- if there's a new comment at the same time you might infer with reasonable probability that it came from that person, especially if the vote and comment seem to be "in tune" wiht each other.
