Hey!

I have spent the past two weekends doing photography work - away from home. The thing is: I hardly think I am the only one travelling far to take pictures. And when I come back late sunday night (completely knackered, usually), the last thing I want is to spend an intensive night at the computer, editing images for publication on dpchallenge. But the way the deadlines are now, I have to: The competition runs out on sunday night.

How about moving the deadline to midweek? Or monday? That way, people have some time to think before the weekend, and some time to process pictures after the weekend.

Just a thought.

I agree with SharQ. The weekends are usually the only time that I am able to devote my attention to taking photographs, and when the Sunday night deadline arrives, I often find myself too tired from hustling around shooting, to get an entry picked out and uploaded. I would like it much better if the deadline were moved to something like Monday night.

Just my 2 cents.

There was a pole to see if the members wanted to move the member challenges to Wednesday. I think people like it the way it is. I voted for Wednesday. And I was the minority. Anyway, I think most people have more time on the weekend to get pictures taken and edited. I don't think I would have time to do it on a Monday. Maybe Wednesday.

The poll was to find out if the members would prefer their challenge moved, or the open challenge moved ... so a vote for Sunday was actually a vote to move the open challenge ... which never happened anyway : |

Whatever night you make the deadline you'll never please everybody, so we may aswell leave them both on Sunday so that only the people who have a life at weekends have to suffer ; p
(I have no life, but spent the afternoon getting ratted watching football, tired myself out cheering too much (Liiiiiiiiiverpooooooooool), then fell asleep ... oops! Hope there's some eggs in the fridge.)
