As of today, the Pennsylvania Turnpike toll collectors and maintenance workers have gone on strike. If you will be traveling on the Pennsylvania Turnpike this weekend be aware of the following:

All Turnpike tolls will be waived today, Wednesday 24 November. Be alert for people who might not be aware and stop in the toll lanes.

Beginning at 12:01 AM on Thursday 25 November, and continuing until the strike ends, tolls will be charged based on a flat rate. Cash customers will not pick up a ticket upon entry, and will pay $2 for cars and $15 per truck regardless of distance traveled. E-ZPass customers will be charged the lesser of the actual toll or the above flat rate. Commercial credit cards and Comchecks will not be accepted.

Wherever you live, drive safely this holiday weekend!
