i was disqualified from the last open challenge (macro without bugs or flowers). it was my 1st and although i read the rules i didnt notice anything saying that i couldnt post a picture i had posted somewhere else. i had my pic up on my deviantart account and then found out about this challenge and submitted it here. im not really bothered that i was disqualified but i just wanted to know if, since i cant use pics ive put up on deviantart 1st, can i put my pics up on deviantart AFTER i post them here, and it still qualify to be voted on?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your disqualification was not for having your image posted on DArt. It was actually disqualified as a violation of the artwork rule: "Literal photographic representations of the entirety of existing works of art (including your own) are not considered acceptable submissions, however creative depictions or interpretations are permissible. This includes, but is not limited to paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, and computer artwork."

This should have been included in the notifaction you were emailed; I see that it wasn't but I'm not sure why. Sorry for the confusion.

Now that the misunderstanding is cleared up, a comment on the original question: Although posting challenge entries on another website is not forbidden by the DPC rules, it is discouraged since it reduces anonymity during voting. After the voting is done, feel free to post your photo anywhere you want.
