Anyone use a Sceptre? Looking at getting a 27" 4k. Not for photo editing at this point, but I need something with more real estate for an expanding bunch of applications and windows I need easy access to for work. Laptop screen with a 24" external monitor are getting tight. Reviews look good, but I trust you folks more than random people on the interwebs.

Disregard. I went ahead and bought it. I guess nobody has this brand yet, so I'll find out.

I only use a Sceptre when sitting on the throne... ;-)

Seriously, the biggest risk I think is reliability. Some reports out there of early deaths. I've not seen an extensive review from a source I would consider competent, but I did note that some of the consumer reviews noted difference between copies of the same monitor, which makes me question the quality control and whether they actually meet the advertised specifications.
My current favorite monitor is quite a bit more expensive, but is also a bit bigger, which I have found to be a good thing. It's the Lenovo T32P-20.

Well, I'll find out. It is supposed to be delivered today. LCD monitors have been pretty reliable for me. I still have my first one, a brand X 15" VGA only model that Was bought in the early '00's. I hate to toss something like this that still works. Might be good for monitoring a server or something that doesn't require it to do a lot.
