These are great! Next time it snows I'm just going to get out and shoot, no excuses.

EDIT - Just to add, you definitely picked the best take!

These are lovely but I prefer the whole trees :)

You made the right choice. And I have to say again that when I saw your photo I thought here is the winner, absolutely spotless editing. I wish I could learn something from you! :)

PS My second choice was Mark's puddle, also absolutely spotless choice of editing (obviously the framing, subject etc. are given)

Here are two others I considered for Stillness. The first is simple a different crop, a 5x4 portrait rather than the wide. I think I like it better as a photo, but for the challenge the sense of space given by the horizontal crop felt like a better fit. The second was kinda ruined by a coot coming into the bottom of the shot that I had hoped would stay further to the right. But I would've liked to have seen it had it been there or even removed it entirely, but I'm not really any good at cloning things out yet.

Thanks Robert ... I hope to hang out a bit more in 2023. Gotta get back to the parts of life that give you joy.
