Read this article today about how a person was stopped and forced to show photos taken on his phone while departing plane.

If I haven't learned anything else with this art form, I *have* learned that people think they can tell you what you can and cannot do with your camera, be it anything from a lowly phone to your finest professional DSLR.

And they feel perfectly in the right REGARDLESS of any facts, logic, reason, common sense, or.......LEGALITY.

So I pick my battles as I have no need to get physically assaulted, screamed at, arrested or detained by law enforcement, flight crew, security personnel, or similar individuals.

Just like copyright infringement, I make the choice to pursue a wrong depending on how important and how much likelihood I have in being able to prevail.

The population is generally woefully misinformed as to actual rights of photographers and photography and I'm not here to teach them.

Especially some chicken-sh*t, small town cop with a Napoleon complex. They're the worst for having their own spin on photogs.

I've really not yet been in a situation where it was worth risking life and liberty to prove I was in the right.

IMNSHO, c'est la vie.

YMMV.....

I guess what I get out of it is that I see where the airlines could restrict activities, i.e. taking photos on the plane, as it is private space ... yes? However, the way they went about it doesn't sit well; provided this is an accurate recounting of events.
