I don't even normally do this. So here I go to post an outtake and I'm the only one. LOL!
Anywho..... This was my entry.
Long story short, I fell in love with it.
It's in the graveyard in my hometown of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
This Harrsiburg guy died from his wounds from a battle on the Virgina/West Virginia border, and was fighting as a volunteer in the First Indiana Mounted Volunteers.
With planes, trains, and automobiles, no big deal, but in this case, we're talking 1861 and rapid transit was called the Pony Express.
So I was curious about how this guy traveled this big circuitous route to end up where and how he did.
So I posted it on a local FaceBook page, the historians kicked into gear, and a rabbit warren was fully targeted for an all out assault.
I learned a bunch of stuff I didn't know before and had some fun.
The Internet truly is a boundless source for tracking things down.
Seeing scanned images of newspaper articles from my home newspaper in 1861 is pretty freakin' cool.
With all that, how could I not enter a "meh" image that set all that into motion?
Anything else would have been a really dull offering.
