I've entered so few challenges this year, I forgot what it was like to get trolled! Dropped .4 in a few votes. :(

One of my entries currently in voting dropped from 6.78 at 9 votes to 6.0 at 11. yeah, it hurts

What a coincidence, I just voted on the freestudy. Though my average cast was a 6.40, so I'm probably not the responsible party.

I've been there myself so I know your pain.

Tell me what's your average vote cast and I'll tell who are you :)

I know the feeling well. One of my recent entries started above 7 and finished below 6. I prefer it when they start low. That way there's always a chance they'll go up.

Same here ... problem is the high voters jump into action right after rollover while the low voters take a few days to get it in gear ... :-(

It’s also a consequence of the low number of voters.... if more people were voting, a couple of low scores wouldn’t matter so much.

in low "key" from 6.3 to 5.5 with the last five votes.

That's the pattern I usually see, too . . . low key for me went from 5.8 to 5.18 in a few votes this morning. However, the lower score doesn't surprise me as I didn't think it was that great or that suitable an entry . . . though I did my best.

Now a week ago when I waited with bated breath for the first score to come in on my Overlay entry so I could go to bed happy and the first vote was a 4 . . . ooof like a kick in the gut, especially thinking that the pattern is to start high and then drop significantly LOL

Same for me. From analysis I know the first six votes were five 5's and one 7. Now this is what I have:

... or 6,4,5,1,9,7
... etc.

Difference is for me that I didn't put much effort into it and figured to place in the lower 15% or so (maybe lower?).
It is what it is.

True... And I really don't much care where I place. This was a new experiment for me...

That's a good thing! Have fun. Higher scores can be fun too - won't lie, but the journey has some merit.
