Hi,

Following a comment on my "Love" entry I decided to play around with spot editing, to see if I could improve the photo. Here is what I came up with.

As you can see, I've taken out some of the specks in the glass, and also the second reflection of the candle which appeared again in the opposite side of the glass.

Also, you can see my outtakes HERE.

Congrats Konador! It´s very nice. I love the composition of this picture, you can mix very well the cup of wine, the candle, light... Perfect composition.

Much better Ben!!

Now what is wrong with this kind of spot-editing? This is what makes a good photograph a great photograph.

This weeks challenge, 'Stock Photography', is useless IMO. How can you make a truly marketable photo, if you can't touch it up as Konador did here??

Anyways, I feel that if this kind of editing was allowed we would see much more professional looking shots here, especially from the great photographers. Konador's photo suffered (read the comments on it) because of a few little specs...well, s&*%t, if you can't clone them out, why are people voting down and making comments about it??

Very well done. I defenitely would have scored this much higher than I did the original.

I wonder how many others would have done that as well. I would have given it an extra point or two as well :)
