Please do take care, I don't trust news/media including WHO or government. Please stay away and be safe!

As far me, yes so far all good.

On a lighter note: "Ask a 6 years old on if he understood why there is no school....his response was that they were all out with the toilet paper"!

Stay safe!

A 6 year old understanding of the world is often refreshing!

Doing ok over here in Texas. Working from home, but moving to a new employer next week (following a product I support, which was sold). I don't know how the out processing and onboarding is going to be handled by either company. The new guys are shipping my laptop and phone to me. Should be interesting.

Working from home a couple days a week and limited hours in the office the other days. Whole family is home with distance learning and remote lessons for music. Keeping safe, neighboring state is on lockdown so my extended family is out of work.

Limiting exposure and distancing as much as possible

Everyone stay safe out there

We're holed up like a couple of hermits here. I'm in the "very high risk" category so it's a matter of great concern. Hang in there, everyone!

It's nice running outside with fewer cars and other pedestrians out.
The air is fresher and I don't have dodge as many people.

Somehow I feel like you've been classified 'very high risk' before... ;-)

Seriously though, stay safe brother Bear, I'm rather fond of you, and would like to keep harassing you for years to come.

This has ruined Onewheeling for me. I'm kinda surprised to figure out that I actually really enjoy carving up traffic and miss it a lot.

We're both starting our second week working from home. Our trips out comprise walking the dogs and grocery shopping. We're waiting to see if my wife gets tapped to man the drive-through testing stations. Her employer is one of the larger healthcare providers in the Midwest, and they are identifying everyone they can find that has a valid RN certification. Her schedule has been nuts. Her day consists of work and sleep and not much else.

For the both of us this is the second week of working from home. Yesterday our government announced the current state will last till the end of june at least. We are lucky to have quite a large house so we both have a good working space and we can keep work and private life a little bit separated.
We are still allowed to go out but have to keep distance from others and avoid crowded places. (Since yesterday people will get a fine when they form a group of more than 2)

I was on a cruise and then flew home on airplane (March 14) so I was self-quarantining before we were asked to. I haven't left home since I got here.

Hubby can work from home anyway, so that's not as much of a problem as going stir crazy. :D

At least we're still speaking to each other after ten days together! Ha!

Francesca is retired and I lost my job 10 days ago (fishing industry collapsed on the Scottish West coast) so we are self isolating with regular food parcels coming from volunteers.

Ouch, losing a job at this point in time is a painful. I am sure you can get another one and wish you so that you get one soon!

Here we stay away from people and order all food online (thanks, Spiffy, for the link about food). There are almost 10 000 cases in Switzerland, the rate of infections per million of inhabitants is very close to Italy. We are still allowed to go out for a walk in the mountains, very grateful for that, it reduces stress enormously.

Today I found out that the skiing resort of Verbier has an infection rate of 60% of population! Still, it won't be quarantined from the rest of Switzerland, no wonder our area has the highest number of infections in Switzerland!

Not any time soon, I'm imagining... *sigh*

But, golly! That would be great fun! A DPC cruise!

Cheers Girish but getting a job on the Island under these circumstances is impossible and it happened 2 days before the PM offered the 80% of your salary financial package to stem the lay-offs(no job now so no financial aid other the job seekers allowance).

Am hoping the Island will survive a missed season, holidaymakers double the population of Mull during the season and that the boats will be back out fishing when the restaurants/hotels/pubs open again.

But I'm currently healthy so glad about that :)

I have just spent most of the day ordering food online. It is getting very difficult and millions are doing the same.

Hi My Name is Janine/Ja-9....

My family & I (here-Florida) are doing good - so far knock on wood we’ve self isolated from the get go. Many of you know that I’m a hair dresser - well the salon that I rent my chair at is still open (I NEED EMOJI’s - head slap) can’t figure out a way to do a 6’ distancing and be safe and know where or who my clients have come in contact with. Sooo I’ve decided that as of Apr 5th (how far I had paid for my chair rent) I’m going to go get my things from the salon and wave goodbye. I can’t see the sense of me continuing to throw my $$ into this blackhole of rent. I can’t afford it. But - if I save what I have - I’ll be able to go back eventually - it’s been very emotional to say the least - not the way I wanted to quit my career. Or even take a leave of absence.

My SIL has been in training at the Federal Law Enforcement campus in GA - they closed all campuses since someone(s) somewhere has tested positive - he doesn’t know who or where (like they’d tell them - roll of eyes) - soooo thousands have been sent home to self isolate - strictly. Lucky for us & him - they have a trailer (camper) and we have property & hookups that we were able to work out. It’s strict isolation for him. We have a large back porch that we sit on n chat with him outside on a camp chair. We give him food on paper plates - he has a washer in the trailer - and it’s stocked with kitchen & bathroom supplies. His coming out is Apr 3 - he doesn’t deal well with being alone - meaning he’s BORED OUT OF HIS MIND!!!

Youngest daughter lives in Denver - works for Marriott - will be furloughed this week - she’s management and had to furlough 700 of her employees - told them it would be 8-12 weeks until they are called back. BC of her schedule - she hasn’t been able to find sufficient supplies/food. It’s hard to have her so far away. But she’s a big girl - and if push comes to shove my brother lives 5 hours away and she can go there and find shelter & food - he has 17 acres. If any of you know me - I’m a fixer - and this is something I can’t fix!!! Grrr and if push comes to shove - we might have to go out n get her - don’t panic - we have a 5th wheel and can make the trip totally isolated - there n back. I have no idea what will happen to her lease and how long she can pay it with no earnings. But eventually she'll get unemployment.

Whereby BC I’m a sole proprietor and self employed - our income just got cut in 1/2. On the other hand - I have my health (so far) - food in the pantry - family close (oldest daughter - husband in quarantine & G’son) - and a place that I can come whine a bit called DPC.

Stay safe - each of you are dear to me!!!

Hope you are all staying safe.

The funny videos being circulated via social media are keeping me sane.

This Bohemian Rhapsody one is the best one yet...

Hunkering in NYC. Walking our dog three times a day. The neighborhood is pretty empty. We veer away from people, as they do from us. Except Mochi is unhappy with this new regime, especially when it comes to other dogs. This veering, this disturbing avoidance, feels lousy, and so I do try to smile at people and wave at other dog-walkers. Spring is bursting, a redeeming counterpoint to dismal circumstances.
My wife is ill. Because her health is compromised, I must be especially careful not to bring this virus into our home. My niece and nephew, who live nearby, have been our angels. They shop for us and sanitize the food. They offered, rather, insisted, that they go to the pharmacy to pick up medications that await retrieval. I've
been reluctant to prevail on them to do even more, and not least of all ask them to expose themselves in my stead. My sister, though, has convinced me that not risking contagion is of paramount importance at this time. Though my stomach and sense of fairness churn in light of the prospect, today I'll ask them to please gather up what we need. I'm thinking of all the people who are having especial difficulties caring for themselves, who live in areas where medical treatment is unavailable -- the lack of which will surely lead to tragedy.
On our night walk I look at the stars, so distant and oblivious to our plight. Still, it is soothing to know they steadfastly plough their way in this immensity.
Keep yourselves safe and strong of body and mind. Pay attention to science and not to blather. Have faith in our tomorrows.

I am now ordering food 5 weeks ahead as ordering online from large supermarkets in the shorter time frame is almost impossible. I managed to get a delivery at 2:30 am (!) for the Easter week but that was after many hours of trying on sleepless nights. It is very tiring.
