since I lost photoshop3 and every thing else on my computer can Picassa be used to resize my image to the 1200 size ?
I am happily non technical so like to use the simple ways or is there a free program
out there other than PS. that I can use to prepare my images for challenges. |

Gimp is also a good one to use for the 'kink' challenge!

I hesitated to recommend GIMP as it can be quite cumbersome to use. I tried it several times but I am so used with PS that for me it was no-no. |

I recently (late last year) tried GIMP again after more than a decade, and found that with a little experimentation it was pretty easy to get used to. You sure can't beat free. If Nick's only Ps experience is the very old version he had, GIMP might not be a bad alternative. The biggest missing functionality for GIMP vs Ps is the lack of non-destructive editing; no adjustment layers. For basic work, that's not a show-stopper. |

You could consider Capture One Express for Sony. It’s the free version of Capture One with limited functionality. |
