Should I bring a macro lens? or save the weight and regret it later?

If I were going ANYWHERE for 6 weeks I'd pack my macro.

Yeah... That's what I'm figuring.

I'm also thinking I need to pack a flash.

Things are getting rather heavy!

It is possible to capture bugs without a macro lens by the looks of things - just saying

Sure, if you have extension tubes. Macro lenses have better-adapted optics for closeups though.

I’ll also point out there are beautiful flowers everywhere - you HAVE to go to Kew Gardens in London - totally worth a visit! And spend sometime in the gift shop - our visit was early in my trip and I wish I had spent more time there...
