Interesting. The url link I pasted in did NOT include https, but DPC auto-adds it I guess. When I tried to edit the link, it shows the original http, so I can't change it. I've shared this link on our Troop site as well, and it opens directly from Facebook without any issue.
Thanks for the heads-up. Challenge suggestions are still valid however. :-) |

this seems to be a new problem with DPC links. It has nothing to do with Barry's site. |

Another photo site I visit (Dyxum.com) has also had issues with switching to https. Some of what they've mentioned in this admin posting sounds familiar to what just took place with the links I posted. |

Sometimes it can also be browser-related -- there are some links which fail when trying to access with an older version of Firefox (Mac) which work with a newer version on Windows. |

OK, now I see this. But we sorta need ya to kind of compress all those scouting virtues into a single suggestion, as noted in the one I left standing, OK? |

web links can either start with http: or https:
DPC is currently forcing links to be https:
if a website is not set up to be https: you will get scary sounding security errors.
but the problem is with the link.
p.s. all you have to do is change the https: to http: after you click the link. |

I'm glad at least one person understands it. I just noticed that ALL of those challenge suggestions were removed by SC AND the link was removed as 'suspicious'. What the heck?! |

^^^ This. I don't know when it started, but it hasn't always been that way and it most certainly should NOT be switching the link. There's only one solution: Bear, learn to code. :P :) ...or see if Langdon can fix it - should be simple. |
