The former Blue Ribbon image in the "Were You Fooled?" Speed Challenge has been disqualified because the photographer used an image of Donald Trump from an online source to create his composite :-( Congrats to our new ribboner and HM.

hmmm... wouldn't that be considered Existing Artwork?

It's not clearly discernable as existing artwork ...

The idea of "existing artwork" in our rules is that YOU shot it yourself, and then under certain conditions it becomes usable, basically as long as it clearly IS exiting artwork.

So I can include in my composition a poster of Richard Avedon's great image of Katherine Hepburn hanging prominently on the wall, for example. But there's NO allowance in our rules for taking somebody else's jpg off the internet and using it to compose your entry. If THAT were allowed in the "existing artwork" rule, we could all be entering Avedon's work :-)
