I got the Nikon D750 and I’m just figuring out what lens work and which ones don’t. Unfortunately my favorite “walk-about” Nikon 10-200mm isn’t going to work...regrettable sigh. I’m not even sure what I need to be looking for in the lens descriptions. I’ve figured out I don’t want any Dx Lens....
Soooo what are you using on your Nikons for a walk-about lens.
I’ve set my goal on the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 to replace my wide angle. Unless you have a better choice.
Does anyone have any used Nikon Lens you’d like to sell? |

Hi Janine, why not just pm or check out the glass other D750 users on here are using? https://www.dpchallenge.com/camera.php?CAMERA_ID=2311
In terms of lenses, every so often I toy with the idea of selling my birding lens - the 300mm f.4 - as I just don't use it much any more. And an 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 but sounds like it won't work if your 18-200mm won't work with the D750.

I’d like a bit more range but maybe I need figure that out...and they need to me Fx Lens...I have been lurking about on the equipment and profile pages...grin.
I’m just hoping to get more information about personal favorites. |

I like the Nikon 28-300 as a walking-around lens. Nice range on my D800.
I also have the Tamron 150-600 for wildlife, though I may need to sell that one. I've developed a tremor and I can't seem to hold it steady anymore (or hold a monopod steady) :-(
For wide angle I have a Sigma 20mm f/1.8 that I love. |

And that would be a direct focal length match for the 18-200 DX lens. I'm always afraid of the "super zooms" as they are usually optical compromises. This one is no different. Here is a review that covers the details. |

Ugh - that’s not a good review at all...given he amount of $$...what other alternatives are there? |

Amazingly sharp and contrasty at all focal lengths, very quick to focus and incredible image stabilization in combination with IBIS. Sorry for an of-topic comment. |

I find the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 is my "go to" lens.
Try one out, first, by renting one if you can. |

I haven’t used my 24-85mm as a walk-about but maybe I should try...it works fine on my camera.
I was just hoping to have a little more range. |

The only proble with this is that the 70-200mm is a monster to carry around!! |

My 70-200 2.8 never leaves my d5 camera body. It is my go to lens. If I need something else, I use one of my other cameras. |

I love my Nikon 24-120mm f/4 lens. Professional lens, great quality! Would not want to go out shooting without that lens.
