10 trillion frames per second allows frame by frame capture of a laser bean about to hit a target. On the other hand, they admit image quality is somewhat limited. See HERE for more.

Hmmm, watching a second of video (at the usual frame-rate) would only take 3858024.6914 days -- might need to order more pizza ...

After recording a TV show, I often fast forward past commercials to get to the part I want to see. In this case, I suppose you could just watch at a hundred billion times faster than normal until the good part gets close then slow down playback. Pizza might still be a good idea.

I just presume laser bean is what really busy bean counters deal with in daily work, with big numbers needing really fast speeds. Keeping track of rapidly increasing US National debt comes to mind.

Alternative hypothesis would be typographical error due to the report stimulating an excessive typing rate.

Nah, you don't need lasers for that ...

Your second hypothesis has great promise though, along with the tech-influenced parallel of lousy speech-to-text software ...
