Like most people that work for a living, many of my photos for the week are done on the last day or two because I need the weekend to do the shoot. If the challenges were started Tuesday or Wednesday night at midnight, the weekend would then fall in the middle of the challenge week instead of at the end. Whatcha'll think??

I am not partial to when the challenge ends or starts.

Some things to think about though.

A lot of folks work on the weekend and get a weekday or two off.

Some parts of the world already HAVE the challenge starting on Monday :-)

And some folks are just slack and wait till the last minute no matter WHEN the challenge starts or ends (Like me) :-P

Hey, I resemble that remark! Actually, I don't feel like it's slacking, I just can't rush the idea fairy, and she usually shows up on Thursday or Friday. I need the free time at the end of the challenge, or I'll never get it done.

'Something Old' is the first time I've submitted before Sunday :) I can't believe I got it in so early... Now what am I going to do with my weekend?

I had that happen for the first time with "Corporate World". It looks like that was a fluke for me! :-)

I'd like to see the week changed. Saturday and Sunday are the only times that I can shoot in daylight, and Sunday evening is the only chance that I get to prepare the photo for submission. If my wife has made plans for the evening, I don't get that either.

I usually don't have adequate time to work on it, so I wind up abandoning the challenge. I've got several images that just need cropping and a bit of color adjustment to be ready to submit. Unfortunately, the challenges are over.

If I had Monday and Tuesday nights to finish up, I'd be more likely to submit my photos.

The only objection I can see someone having to changing is that with the current system, we actually look forward to Mondays... But I for one, could adjust to looking forward to Wendsdays...

Actually there is one other problem... It's a change, and we all know how well some folks handle that...

I always thought it would be nice to have it end on another date also. The weekends are when I do a lot of photography too. Sunday is my problem on the West Coast because the time is 12:00 Eastern making it nine here. It is too hard to edit pictures for that day and try to enter them by time. I would imagine that for Hawaii or Alaska it would be more so. Let alone the rest of the world and for their times and days. The web-site is world wide and that is good. Yes give it a day or two would help out a lot of people, I am sure.

Curious: How long has this GREAT site been running?
How long has Monday been the start day of new challenges?

P.S. I am new here but love this place...

Since January, 2002, I think.

Flipper, everytime I see your name i chuckle. Last year, when my husband and I found our we were pregnant, we didn't want to call the baby "It," but we didn't know whether "it" was a he or she. So my husband nicknamed "it" Flipper. Everybody called the baby that until he was born in January, and took the name "Travis." Some still call him that (much to his grandmothers' dismay)

I'm a n00b here too... It seems as if this site has been up for awhile with established rules, but only being up since Jan 02, I think that they should be able to change the dates... personally I don't mind either way...

I actually really like the fact that the challenges start and end in my timezone at midday on Monday, so I can see why some people in the US would like to have it happen during the week too. I think if it was changed to Monday midnight in the eastern states of the US it would be more comfortable for pretty much everyone. I do think it's a bit of a nuisance that in some places the site turns over during Sunday.
