What other hobbies are you all interested in? How about sharing some photos.

My other hobby is woodworking and I have spent the last year remodeling one room in our house. You can see photos Here

I used Maple and Birch plywood for the walls and Alder for all of the trim work. Everything has been stained with American Cherry and top coated with Polyurethane. The floor is Oak. I still have one more wall to finish; I hope to be done by the end of March. Some of the photos aren't the best and I have learned that it is very difficult to photograph dark glossy surfaces. My hats off to the pros that make all of those magazine shots look so good.

Wow!!!!! I am impressed. How much do you charge an hour. You are good at both your hobbies. That woodwork is beautiful.

Roger: awesome house! Your woodworking seems to be coming along quite well. I checked out your photos too. I must say that they were excellent. They had a youthfulness that I appreciate being of the younger generation (not to make you feel old :) you seem like a real cool dude with a lot of interests and hobbies.

Hay thanks for the complements but I want to see your Hobby Photos too.

I have some pictures of the model kits that I have built over the years.

Pictures taken with my digital camera are here.

Other pictures, some from a non-digital camera are here.

There are a number of overlaps between the two galleries, and none of them are particularly good as photographs, they are more to document the models.

I also take pictures of my fellow archers, which you can find on the
Waterside Archers web-site under the "What Do We look like?" link. Again a mixture of old and new media.

I've been doing 3d as a hobby for the past.. oh.. 6-7 years or so. Although my main job right now is as an engineer, i do lots of CAD stuff in there, and sometimes my 3d skills help me display my cad models all the better. You can check my signature to see my galleries. I think i only have 2 CAD models in my gallery (The 6 piston green thingy, and the flashlight), but i cant show my work stuff :(.

Those are nice interior pictures Roger. I go through phases of hobbies, right now its photography but I'm starting to think its more of a passion than hobby as I take my camera everywhere and take shots all the time. My hobbies include golfing, snowboarding, scuba diving, reading, music, etc. I like long walks on the beach and sunsets:P

My other obsession if golf. Only three more months before the snow melts. Youpi.

Don't have too many golf related picutes. Therer's this one and that one. Oh yeah, this one.

I just started photography last summer. I'll take alot more pictures next season. There are a lot of nice sceneries on golf courses.

My main hobby is soaring, i.e. flying powerless planes.
Hope to take some really good pictures of it this summer.
Here's one of last summer showing me as commander in control Look out
At that time I was not good in photographing at all, as you can see in the Gallery.
I'm waiting to mount my camera on the wing tips and make inflight shots.

I've just started getting back into playing my guitars. I also do karate and have been known to juggle a bit.

Other than photography I play the keyboard, solo, and in a keyboard group. Every year we enter a competition. A couple of years back we played a medley of Wild West theme tunes and won the national finals in London! That was pretty good fun :) Unfortunatly they don't do the competition nationally anymore, but we still enter the local competitions, and we've won that a few times too :)

I also like playing Tennis, Badminton and Squash, and I make websites too. I've just finished making this one for my dad's new company. Paid work :) Should be able to afford some new bits and bobs for my camera soon.

My main hobby (I guess you would call it a hobby) can be seen HERE. This is my piano that was purchased for my when I graduated college. I studied piano performance.

I also enjoy making wood picture frames for prints and cutting out mattes for photos.

If it can be called a hobby, I also love spending time with my wife and our families.

Me likes scratching my guitar, jiu-jistsu, and giving massage therapy treatments to friends and family (ex-job since I run a MT school now). :-)

You can see some of my MT photos on my website. :-)

My other time-waster is surfing. The kind in the ocean, not on the web! I take pretty regular trips to Costa Rica (which, by the way, has some FANTASTIC photo subjects).

This is a shot from my last trip down, at a place called Playa Hermosa.

(Scan of a Kodak Supra 400 negative, taken with a Canon Eos IIe, and a 75-300mm IS at 300.)

This is great. I consider you all my friends and I enjoy learning more about you. Lets keep it going.

Thanks,
Roger

Maybe we need a "My other hobby" challenge. You know, do the best shot you can showing some other hobby you enjoy. In my case I have too many to choose from (you know, a boy and his toys). . .

Travel, golf and triathlons are my other ways of wasting time. Don't take a lot of pictures of the second two though

I like to ride my motorcycle(and therefore in some way breaking the law a lot), test them (example) and I would like to race them. The first bit is expensive enough (tires, tires, tires and some more tires) so the racing is out of the question. I'll probably buy a new one this year and a new camera next year.
I like to travel (Sigma 35mm), but haven't done that lately because of the expensive motorcycle stuff. :) I'll try to catch a last-minute flight to a city anywhere for a few days in the fall.
I also like history and archeology, nature, dogs, music, streetracing / offroading mountainbikes fitted with slicks, read Terry Pratchett and photography books, watch some movies, read a lot of sites.
And I go to motorcycle races, some car racing (Le Mans 24h) and I love to eat in restaurants.
And more, but have forgotten a lot.

Links might be invalid in a couple of weeks.

I'm an opera singer, but it's very hard to take pictures whilst on stage. I think it would take away from the performance to sing with a camera in front of my face :) :)

my other hobby is women...it's a lifetime hobby, always evolving

My other hobby is medieval reenactment. I'm a member of the SCA, short for Society for Creative Anachronism. We recreate almost every aspect of life from the fall of the roman empire to 1650. We dress up in garb, eat medieval food, dance medieval dances, fight with medieval armor (weapons are made out of rattan.....wont kill but it will leave a heck of a bruise!!!) and we have events, wars, etc. It's pretty cool. If you're interested, just go to www.sca.org!!!! I tried to find a pic but they are on floppy disks and my laptop doesnt have a floppy drive, sorry.
