My question is how can I create a photo in photoshop to get the tilt shift effect? I don't have a lensbaby or any lens that will do that but I've read there are ways to create that effect within photoshop. Is there a special plug-in that I need? I appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi Susie,

Here are a couple of tutorials:

Tutorial ONE
Tutorial TWO

If you prefer video tutorials (I happen to hate them), then just go to YouTube and type "fake miniature effect" into the search box.

The Photoshop part for this is easy.... as long as you choose a truly suitable photo to work on.

Karin, thank you so much. I'm still working on your pointers and these tutorials will help bunches. Hubby and I went downtown (Hot Springs National Park) and took pictures of people, bath house row, the hot springs and the promenade. We're having a break from the heat and humidity so it was a super day to be out with the cameras.
