The Site FAQ has been updated by clubjuggle... many thanks to him.

If you've got questions you think should be added to that page, please add them here :)

Hey Terry, this looks great. I especially like the new graphic describing the timeline of the challenge. Thanks so much for doing this, I am sure it will be a big help.

any chance on highlighting the changes?

also, why haven't you put a link to paypal donations in there?

nice, terry!!

you left off the #1 question though:

is it safe to use my camera after I've had too much to drink?

:)

Better to use it than to let someone else get their hands on it.

I would suggest an addition to the software for EXIF list. Talaphoto is freeware, and provides all of the EXIF data. It also allows for some photo management.

Changes made in FAQ update:

How much time to do I have to submit my photograph? view the current challenge? vote?
Updated this section to properly reflect the current schedule. Replaced the old arrow-graph with a chart. Specified that the deadlines were specified in Eastern Time.

What are the rules for submitting/editing photographs?
Added information to better highlight the restrictions on filters and spot-editing. Emphasized that photos that violate the rules are subject to disqualification.

How do I get the exposure information from my files?
Unchanged.

Can I submit an old photograph?
Updated to reflect the fact that the challenge will always specify the acceptable dates.

Can I change and/or remove my entry for a challenge?
Updated to reflect that it is no longer necessary to unsubmit/resubmit in order to change the information submitted with a photo.

How does voting work?
Added a statement that you do not need to enter to vote.

How do comments work?
New question.

In what order do entries appear on the voting page?
New question.

Can I disqualify a photograph in the current challenge?
Removed the statement that a photo can be disqualified for not meeting the challenge (as this is no longer true). Added a statement that voters should recommend a questionable photo for disqualification and then vote on it with the assumption that any questionable effects were accomplished legally.

I'm registered as a voter. Can I change to a photographer?
Updated to reflect that this change is now made by adding a camera to the user profile.

Who can write a tutorial or a "How did they do that?"
New question.

Can I change my username?
New question.

Why has my account been suspended?
Unchanged.

Do you offer any prizes for the winner(s)?
Unchanged.

What can I do to help DPChallenge?
Deleted section about DPChallenge being run on a work PC.

great work, clubjuggle! :)

there's one sentence that i would consider changing a little bit. under the exposure info stuff: "Remember, DPChallenge requires a submission of the ORIGINAL, UNTOUCHED photograph from your camera to ensure fairness in the 'digital darkroom'. Remember to make a copy of your original before modifying it!"

i would say "may be required" because you don't have to submit the actual original, you can crop, resize, do levels, etc.

Terry,
Great job, if I were you I''d ask D&L for a bonus.

A question I see coming up in the forums a lot is, "How to resize my picture for submittion?"

Would this be an appropriate entry in the FAQ''s?
