Since the technique of this image was questioned to death I am posting the rather easy way that it was accomplished. I decided on the concept and needed a way to expose the sensor one half at a time. Here is a diagram and had it not been for the busted backlight, it would been entered as "Split Boxer", zero editing.

That's really cool. Well done.

BTW, did you notice somebody chose this image (the setup illustration) as a favorite. That's funny!

I'm Impressed, and found the picture to be pretty cool considering the editing restrictions. But I scored on it's technical difficulty rather than as it being a great asthetically pleasing picture I would want to hang on my wall.

Its a pity this one didnt score higher.
I think most people either dont care thinking 'how this one was taken?'
or dont follow the rule that says 'vote as if the photography meets the challenge rules'.
Not all excellent images need to be beautiful. Some of them (like the one we're talking about) just require an special and difficult to put in practice technique.
