A while back, I found a tutorial on creating a faux HDR template for Lightroom (unfortunately, I don't remember where), but I've tweaked it and I have found it especially useful as a starting point for photos, especially from my FZ1000. It really shows what a single RAW file can do these days--and with just one click!

I've been using it a while, and I thought as a holiday gift to DPCers, I would share it. I'm also curious how it works for you (on RAW photos). Let me know what you think, and happy holidays!

I've put it in my dropbox here.

Warning: this is not legal for the DPC Basic ruleset and obviously not for minimal editing), since it uses gradient adjustments.

ETA: It also works very well on LR produced 32 bit HDR files.

Thanks Neil!

How about a section on the website where you can share presets/actions etc? I am not talking about how to as there is already one but more of sharing of the tools.

I did same and shared a few weeks back but that is another thread so soon it will be lost and buried under many threads :)

That's very cool, it's going to be useful as a starting point in LR HDR, as suggested. You're a jolly good fellow!
