Unfortunately (?), in the U.S. we're too affluent to ever really see this sort of thing :)

well, they are all marvelous, but for me it is the geese all having the time of their lives. probably. literally.

The moving the church in Germany really doesn't belong in there though...unless the congregation is still in the church.

I know. I also did a double take with that one, although it could be argued that that's the sort of "overloaded vehicle" we'd see in the "developed" world :)

Those "somewhere in the world" definitely looks like Pakistan/Afghanistan.

What you don't see is how poverty and expanded families resulted in people traveling on motor bikes in third world countries. Some examples:

Yeah looks like the baby and thr bucket were tacked on - but everyone else WAS riding the bike. Though i did recall some legit babies carried in a grocery bag photos...
