OH!!

This challenge reminds me why this type of photography is not good, that is if it's badly done.

I haven't voted yet, but that's harsh, I didn't see anything worth a 1 though!

You know, with very very few exceptions, I really dislike selective desaturation. HOWEVER, if I was not willing to suspend that dislike at least somewhat, I would not vote in the challenge.

The 1st vote was an 8 and the 2nd was a 2 -- which in my view is much more interesting than a couple of 5's.

4-something. Pairs well with the 5.4 in Free Study.

going up. My feeling was high 6, sub 7
Hopefully it stays there.
Very happy with the shot and the processing. seems DPCers like it, too.

There were plenty of rather nice images.
I may even go back and do a second run, seeing which ones deserve a little bump upwards, in my opinion.

You have rated 83 of 83 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 5 images (6%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.2048.

Looks like I'm in good company 4.0
05/06/2015 06:08:17 AM · #24
This is encouraging. I was editing images last night and I pulled one of the color channels down to just to see how it would affect the image. That's part of my normal workflow, i make an extreme adjustement to fully see the effect and then pull it back to a minor adjustment. When I first pulled the dominant color down, I thought to myself, dpc might like this. So I made a copy, exported it and then submitted it. Before I went to bed I had another look and thought damn, that looks like shit. Apparently You guys agree. Thank you. I'm not sure id be happy had that done well and graced the front page.

There is hope for this place yet.

I didn't think this would be so hard.
It was hard to shoot and it's hard to vote on.
It seems easier to connect to an image that has a background that I can visualise.
