The last weekend in September brings the Murray's Mill Harvest Folk Festival to our community. This festival hosts lots of arts and crafts, as well as live music and other entertainment...

Molasses

Douglas Hicks of Denver, North Carolina makes home made molasses at the festival....

Looks like the same equipment used for making maple syrup up north. Do they grow a lot of sugar cane in N.C.?

I like the B+W banjo shot a lot, and #9859 (wheels/gears). Great stuff as usual ...

I did on the B/W version.. and the Banjo photo as well. The rest are normal BW conversions...

I don't know how much is grown in NC, but they were mashing fresh cane for this process. They had a huge trailer full of the leftovers...
