This is absolutely the best idea for a restaurant. I am ready for one to open here. Hell if I can manage a franchise that may be good.

the best idea for a restaurant is serving great food.

however if brandishing and flaunting a weapon in public is your idea of a great time, have fun.

interestingly enough i have been to restaurants that dont permit open carry my entire life and i've never been robbed and i feel quite safe.

I once went to a bar that replaced all its stools with playground swingset swings. Worst Idea ever. I'd like a bicycle themed restaurant, but replacing stools with bike seats should be avoided, except at the numbness cafe.

I wouldn't go to one of these restaurants, because statistically my chance of being accidentally shot increases as the number of guns increases. I believe that a restaurant like this would invite more gun wielders than a standard restaurant, therefore, I choose somewhere else.

I don't know of any store / restaurant....(except target) around here that don't allow guns. Open carry is legal here in Louisiana without a permit but it is encouraged to have your conceal carry permit.

And yes the girl in the shorts....very nice

The gun in question was a revolver....not a semi auto. It was prob a double action. The hammer on the back is what fires the round but either there needs to be a full trigger pull or you must pull back the hammer in order for it to discharge.

I don't really feel comfortable when I'm out in public and I see someone in civilian clothes with a holstered gun.

I just can't help but wonder about that person's mental state and intentions, and would most likely take my family, finish whatever business we had there and leave as soon as possible.

Do I think guns should be illegal or even banned from public carry? No, because that would prevent them from being carried in appropriate situations.

Would I shop or dine at a business that *encouraged* open carry of guns? Not if another option was available.

Of course the argument can be made that only outlaws will carry guns when they are outlawed, and the people might be sitting ducks if they are not allowed to have guns of their own.

I would say I trust people, but not to the point that I would like to be around a group of strangers with deadly weapons. At least not in a situation where firing those weapons be inappropriate and illegal except in self-defense.

A hunting/camping trip, or shooting bottles and cans in the middle of nowhere, or at a shooting range, the more guns the better. On a military operation, obviously the more guns and body armor and etc. the better. At a restaurant? A gun is just saying to the world "I have something to prove"

I should add, although I'm on active duty these are my personal views and have nothing to do with the views of the US military and nothing to do with my position.
