I thought i had the "Automatically Parse URLs" option on. Apparently i had not :-)

An interesting addition to the offer. During the promotion, the latest version (9) can be obtained with a significant discount by using the code DIGITALPHOTOGRAPHER1014.

One thing to be aware of with DxO Optics Pro: to get the fullest functionality, you need to also own DxO Filmpack and DxO Viewpoint. Both of these are standalone products that, if you have them, integrate into the Optics Pro interface and they can be used from within it. Of the two, by far the more useful to me is Viewpoint, a MUCH more sophisticated distortion/perspective corrector than Photoshop's.

The DxO Raw Processor (DxO Optics Pro) can be used without these modules, but some relatively esoteric functions are grayed out, basically. I'm using DxO for my RAW processing now, have been for a while, and it's very, very good... I have version 9 now.

Also found DXO Optics Pro 8 & 9 best for opening and preliminary, fine adjustment of Canon raw or Pentax DNG. Optional DXO Viewpoint & DXO Filmpack contribute a variety of additional settings, but they are not entirely necessary to obtain the primary benefits of this marvelous program. Don't bother with the Basic Filmpack go directly to EXPERT.

B&W conversions are beautiful. Numerous default and 3rd party presets are available for filmpack.

Easy export to LR, CC, or just about any other editor for fine tuning and back again if one desires.

Free download page currently down for maintenance, DXO say it will be back up on the 30th. Maybe they took a bit of a bandwidth hit :)

And so you know, two of my three cameras (Nikon D610 and D750) are NOT supported by the software, even though the D610 RAW file is essentially identical to the D600's. So, if you've got a camera introduced in the last 9-12 months, check to see if it's supported first.
