Many of us will be editing photos of buildings at the moment and most of have won't have shot with tilt and shift lenses.

I know that perspective correction is allowed in Advanced, but how about 'Skew' with the whole image as the selection. I'm finding that to be useful in removing distortion but is it allowed in Advanced? I think it should be given that it's about the result and not the tool...

Any thoughts?

That will be fine. I do it all the time. You can use perspective and skew tools to return geometry to "squared up" pretty much with impunity.
