I am helping a friend with her baby book that she will get printed.
I am collecting some useful page backgrounds (jpg's) as well as assorted clipart for decorations - those ones I made into PNGs (because that is what the printing software can handle) with transparent backgrounds.
I then uploaded them to my OneDrive folder and shared the link with my friend.
The thing that is bugging me is that the PNG files appear in the thumbnail/preview as if they had a BLACK background instead of a transparent one:
However, once we download the files, they really are still proper PNGs with transparency:
Why is that, and is there a way to change the appearance of the thumbnails/previews? |

My guess is that when OnedDrive generates the thumbs, it is always generating a JPEG, which does not support transparency. If this is the case, I doubt that you can change the behavior from your end. |

Thanks, Fritz, I'm sure you're right.
Pity about the black, though.... most other places that don't support transparency show it as white. Ah well... |
