There are a lot of good books with Photoshop Lessons, most of them are very helpful, check out the book stores or computer stores for titles. They are great for everybody.

I recently got this book :

The Adobe Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers

It is a great book. The book walks you through step-by-step guides on how to do things in PS CS

Agreed. This is the best photoshop book I've ever owned. Deke McClelland is a great photoshop author.

I also have the CS for photographers book, I don't like it very much, but would be acceptable for beginners.
